Renowned cult film director John Waters (Cry Baby, Hairspray) steps out from behind the camera to take his first starring role as host in Love You To Death.

As presenter and narrator, Waters brings his macabre sensibility and wry comedy to this series about ill-fated relationships that ended in murder. Using reenactments, each episode recalls real-life tales of matrimonial murder and details how the crimes were planned, how they were covered up and why the guilty party got caught out in the end.

"Between the beginning and the end, the audience is in on this," explains Waters. "There is a certain delight in callous humour. A certain delight in other people's misery; something that you almost feel guilty about when you're laughing at it, and that's good. It's based on horrible things that happen in the real world, that we're fascinated by in a weird way."
