Harriet Sims (Karri Turner)
Lieutenant Harriet Sims originally came to JAG Headquarters to aid Lieutenant Commander Harmon Rabb, Jr with a prosecution case against a Chief Petty Officer stationed in Norfolk. The daughter of wealthy parents, she joined the Navy despite her mother's objections.
Harriet has served as the Public Affairs officer of the
USS Seahawk. Harriet is patient, hard-working, and sweet, though a touch naÏve. When she served on the
Seahawk, she met Lieutenant Bud Roberts, and the two felt an immediate attraction. Once she was transferred to JAG, their romance was able to continue.
In becoming accustomed to her new surroundings, Sims turned to Roberts for support. The couple is now married, and despite the usual custom, continue to be in the same command.
Sturgis Turner (Scott Lawrence)
Commander Sturgis Turner is an ex-submariner and is friends with Harm since their years at the Naval Academy. A very good lawyer and a good man, he has much to offer to the JAG team. The son of one of the Navy’s first black chaplains, he is a highly principled officer, and he often avoids the emotional pitfalls that Harm always seems to fall into.
