In the wake of the New York City showdown, the world is sliding into another apocalypse. After saving the cheerleader and saving the world, what will become of these ordinary people with extraordinary abilities? Find out when TV's biggest sci-fi saga Heroes returns to STAR World.

After traveling back in time, what new challenges will Hiro (Masi Oka) face in feudal Japan? After taking flight to save New York City, did Nathan (Adrian Pasdar) and Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) survive the nuclear blast? What are the fates of wounded heroes Matt Parkman (Greg Grungberg) and D.L. Hawkins (Leonard Roberts)? And after a seemingly fatal stab wound, will we see the return of the mutant serial killer Sylar (Zachary Quinto)?

"Season two is not just a continuing serialized storyline," says Heroes' creator Tim Kring. "We are going to have new storylines, new ideas, new threats and new bad guys so Heroes can evolve. Things change and things morph and become very complicated and different as you watch."

Fans will also meet new super-powered characters… and bid farewell to some old favourites. "We try to fold people in and fold people out on a show like this," explains Kring. "The audience should expect to see characters leaving in the near future." New cast members joining this season include Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars), Dana Davis (The Nine), David Anders (Alias) and Dania Ramirez (X-Men: The Last Stand).

Launched in 2006, Heroes became the No.1 new drama in the US. In its debut season, the show was nominated for two Golden Globes and eight Emmy Awards. When Entertainment Weekly compiled a list of the best sci-fi shows from the past 25 years, Heroes was included. As proof of the show's international appeal, the cast embarked on the 'Heroes World Tour' in the summer of 2007.

Prepare for a new chapter of secrets, superpowers and sinister evildoers when the all-new season of Heroes returns exclusively on STAR World.
