Hippiedom and blue-blooded snobocracy. Dharma and Greg. No one thought anyone would want to watch a serial about “one totally happy couple”. But there you go… Dharma and Greg has managed to become a total hit, and one of ABC’s top-rated primetime shows.

Just imagine this…
Dharma Finklestein, San Francisco Yoga instructor, sometime dog trainer, boards the subway one sunny day. So does Greg Montgomery, Harvard-educated US Attorney. One decides the other is the One. That’s right, it’s love at first sight. Before their first date is over, this is one totally married couple!

So it ought to end there. But suddenly you’ve got the in-laws. Greg’s “Mother” and “Father”, ala Kitty and Edward (that’s Edwuuuhd to you, dahling), straight from country-club, Sunday golf game heaven. And Abby and Larry, who got left over from Woodstock and have raised Dharma to believe all convention is constricting. Throw them in with Dharma’s seriously weird friend Jane (who wears black leather at 7:00 in the morning) and Greg’s dumb horny pal Pete, and you’ve got a rather jumbled extended family.

Through it all, however, what’s amazing is how Dharma and Greg work through every tumbled situation and manage to stay together, as happy as is possible… Are marriages made in heaven, or what?
